What We Believe

As a community, we base our beliefs and actions on the cornerstones of christian doctrine. this is our specific statement of faith.

  • We believe that the Bible alone, comprised of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired Word of God, and without error in its original manuscripts. (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

  • We believe that there is only one God, as revealed in the Bible as the only true, eternal, perfect and living God. He is Creator, Redeemer, and Sovereign Ruler of creation. He is the only proper object of worship.

We believe that there are three persons in the Godhead. God reveals Himself to us as Father (John 6:27; Ephesians 4:6), Son (Hebrews 1:8), and Holy Spirit (Acts 5:3-4), with distinct personal attributes, but without division of nature, essence, or being; distinguishable, yet indivisible.

  • We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God. However because of our disobedience, sin entered into the world whereby all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. (Genesis 1:26, Romans 5:12, 3:13)

  • We believe that there is only one plan of salvation, which involves the redemption of the whole person and is available only in and through Jesus Christ. It is offered to all people, and is appropriated and experienced by those who repent of their sins and respond, in faith, to God’s call to submit to His Son as Lord. Jesus Christ, through the shedding of His blood, obtained eternal redemption for those who through faith believe in Him. (John 3:16, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Acts 4:12, Luke 19:10, John3:17, 1 Corinthians 1:21, Ephesians 2:1-9)

  • We believe that the baptism in the Holy Spirit is to give us power to live a fruitful, holy Christian life today, that we might be effective ministers of the Gospel. (Galatians 5:22-23, Isaiah 61:1, Luke 3:16, Acts 1:5-8, 2:14-21, 9:17-20)

  • We believe that the new birth in Christ is a miracle, wherein the old nature is passing away and the new nature comes in by the transforming power of the Holy Spirit.

  • We believe that it’s God’s will for all believers to live by the Spirit of God.Item description

  • We believe spiritual gifts have been given to every believer and everyone should function in their gifts for the building up of the Body of Christ.

  • We believe in the literal and physical second coming of Jesus Christ and in the rapture of the church. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)

  • We believe in the immortality of the soul; in the resurrection of the body; in the general judgment at the end of the world; in the eternal happiness of the righteous in Heaven; and in the endless punishment of the wicked in Hell. (Matthew 6:20, John 14:2-3, Revelation 7:9-17, 20:10-15, 21:8)
